[Sean]: Hi everyone.
It’s Sean de Kretser,
Managing Director at The Information Access Group.
It's been a transformative year
and we are so glad
you've been part of this journey with us.
I use the word ‘transformative’
because accessibility and inclusion are always evolving.
So as communicators,
we need to keep meeting
the needs of our target audience.
I'm joined today
by our Inclusion Advisor, Assunta, who,
along with our Lived Experience Advisors,
have been instrumental in providing insights
and feedback that has continually
shaped our work and our internal processes.
[Assunta]: Thank you Sean.
For me personally, it's been a really great year
getting to talk to
so many people
about what I'm most passionate about,
which is digital accessibility.
[Sean]: As a team, we've reflected on ways we can continue
to build co-design into our culture and practice.
We're particularly proud of the work we did
with an external agency
on an accessible communications project.
In a nutshell, we developed an Easy Read document
explaining how people can stay safe from cyber crime.
As part of the development process,
we ran two co-design workshops and focus groups
with our trusted partner, ‘As We Are Research’.
These feedback sessions were amazing and invaluable.
[Assunta]: I love being able to bring more awareness to our clients
through our screen reader audits,
but what I am particularly excited about
is the launch of our very first
Accessible Information Forum.
We have announced Ariella Meltzer, a Senior Research Fellow
at the Centre for Social Impact
from the University of New South Wales.
Ariella is our keynote speaker
and we will be confirming more speakers early
next year, so stay tuned.
Tickets are on sale now,
so visit our website for more information.
I look forward to meeting many of you there.
Thank you again for being part of our journey.
We look forward to continue
to work together
in a meaningful way in 2026 and well beyond.
[Assunta]: No matter how you choose
to celebrate this time of year,
our team wishes you a safe and joyful break.
[Sean]: Take care
